Malaysia: A Nigerian held over RM2mil drugs

KUALA LUMPUR: A Nigerian man found in possession of RM2mil worth of syabu hidden in seven horse statuettes would never again take the police for a ride.

The Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) and Special Tactical Intelligence Narcotics Group (STING) arrested the 28-year-old man at around 3pm on Thursday at an apartment in Taman Prima Tropika, Seri Kembangan here.

NCID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff said the raiding party found 12.1kg of syabu stashed in 28 packets hidden in the porcelain horse statuettes.

The man has been travelling in and out of Malaysia since 2014.
